Background of Miami Open 2024

One of the biggest tennis tournaments in the world, the Miami Open falls under the auspices of the WTA 1000 and ATP 1000 series. What that means is that the maximum points a player can earn in this tournament is 1000.

Nearly 400k fans attended the tournament last year and one expects even more to do so this season as 96 male and 96 female players take to court in the singles main draw to go with the 32 doubles teams apiece.
