Anastasija Sevastova v Aliaksandra Sasnovich Predictions & Preview

Sasnovich holds a 1-0 lead over Sevastova, last defeating her in the Brisbane International in 2018.

Anastasija Sevastova, who has been seeded number six for the tournament, has had quite a decent season and now, will be looking forward to ending the year on a high note. The 29 year-old Latvian won her first title since the Bucharest Open last season. The title came in her home tournament in the WTA Jurmala, where she lifted the maiden Baltic Open trophy.

Apart from that, Sevastova also had a decent run in the Australian Open and French Open, where she reached the fourth round. However, her form deteriorated drastically, possibly on account of fatigue. With back to back first-round defeats in Wuhan and Beijing, she arrived in Moscow, looking to make amends for that disastrous bout of form.

As for Sasnovich, her season hasn’t been that great either, with a strike rate of 17-21. She went without a win in the entire Asian swing – a fact that has indeed highlighted most of her season. Her best performances include a third-round run in the Madrid Open and a semifinal run in the Sydney International, where she managed to bag most of those wins. At 25 years of age, she has had a pretty dull season so far, to say the least.

Tip: Sevastova to win in three sets 7/10 with Unibet

Svetlana Kuznetsova v Karolina Muchova Predictions & Preview

This is the first meeting between the veteran Moscovite and the 23-year-old Karolina Muchova.

It has been quite a season for Kuznetsova, who spent first half of the season battling injuries and started her journey only in April in the Ladies Open Lugano. Since then, she has been working really hard to rebuild her momentum but for most of it, it has proven to be an exercise in futility. The biggest exception to this, however, proved to be her performance in the Cincinnati Open, where she reached the final.

That was Svetlana’s first singles final since the Citi Open last season and it was indeed a breathtaking run. In a fierce display of experience and skills, the Russian stormed past Sevastova, Sloane Stephens, Karolina Pliskova, and Ashleigh Barty. Now, playing on her home turf, Kuznetsova is clearly one of the heavy favourites to win the title, at least for the crowd.

On the other hand, Karolina Muchova too has made some great strides on the tour. She reached the final of the Prague Open and later, won her maiden singles title in the Korea Open. With a clear bright future ahead of her, World No. 35 currently holds a win-loss tally of 33-12, which is exceptional in every sense.

Muchova was a quarter-finalist in WTA Doha and Wimbledon, and has also defeated Pliskova in the process, registering her first top-10 win. However, the only drawback to her form would be her lack of consistency. Nonetheless, with every game, she is becoming a better player and 2020 WTA Tour would be something to look forward to.

For this match, we can expect the young Czech to give Kuznetsova a run for her money.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 7/5 with Unibet
