Stefanos Tsitsipas v Filip Krajinovic Predictions & Preview

This is the second meeting between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Filip Krajinovic. Their first meeting was earlier this year, at the French Open, where Tsitsipas won a tight four-setter.

Having qualified for the ATP Tour Finals in London next month, Greek sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas has been in good form in recent weeks during the Asian swing and the European indoor season. A stellar year for Tsitsipas that saw him reach the top five in the ATP rankings, defeat Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, went somewhat offtrack during the grass and US hardcourt season. The Greek has been pushed this week by both Albert Ramos-Vinalos and Ricardas Berankis, but has done well to come through on both occasions.

Serbian Filip Krajinovic seems to hit his best form on the indoor courts. Finalist at the 2017 Paris Masters, Krajinovic was a finalist in Stockholm last week, and in good form this week again, with a convincing win against Italian Fabio Fognini.

Expect a tussle on the cards; with Tsitsipas inching through in a decider.

Tip: Tsitsipas to win in three sets.

Reilly Opelka  v Roberto Bautista Agut Predictions & Preview

Reilly Opelka and Roberto Bautista Agut met two weeks ago at the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai with Agut prevailing in straight sets.

Giant serving American Opelka has had a breakthrough year, winning his first ATP title at the New York Open and performing relatively consistently through the season. He has reached a career high ranking of number 40 in the world and will be looking to end his season on a strong note. Opelka played a spirited match in the previous round, where he defeated London ATP Tour Finals hopeful, David Goffin in a three-setter.

Roberto Bautista Agut is another individual who has had a promising season, and remains a London Tour Finals hopeful. Winner of the ATP title in Doha, and a Wimbledon semi-finalist, Agut has also defeated world number one Novak Djokovic twice this year. Despite a lackluster last few weeks, the Spaniard is in a final attempt here in Basel, and in Paris next week, to qualify for one the two remaining spots for the Tour Finals next month.

A battle of contrasting players; expect the gritty Agut to prevail in a three-setter this time around.

Tip: Agut to win in three sets.

Alex de Minaur v Jan-Lennard Struff Predictions & Preview

The two players have met once, at the Indian Wells Masters 1000 last year, where the young Aussie prevailed in a tight three setter.

It has been a strong year for both players. Struff who has been on the tour for several years, has been at his most consistent this year, performing well through the clay and hard court seasons, and defeating top ranked players like Alexander Zverev among others.

Alex de Minaur, on the other hand has had a breakthrough year winning three ATP 250 titles in Sydney, Atlanta and Zhuhai respectively, and will be looking at a deep run at an ATP 500 here. He has been in good form for most of the year, and broken into the top 30 of the rankings, and remains a frontrunner for the year end ‘Next Gen’ Tour Finals title in Milan next month.

A match-up between two different playing styles; expect the young Aussie to win in two tight sets.

Tip: De Minaur to win in two sets.
