The morning session of Rod Laver Arena has Karolina Pliskova first up on court, and she will face Danielle Collins for a place in the third round. Top seeded Barty is in some fine fettle and she will take to court next for her second round match against fellow Aussie Daria Gavrilova while this match will be followed by Stefanos Tsitsipas taking on Thanasi Kokkinakis.

There will be two matches played at the night session at the Rod Laver Arena, with Elina Svitolina taking on the precocious talent of American teenager Cori Gauff and men’s second seed Nadal playing Michael Mmoh.

Over at the Margaret Court Arena, the day session has Belinda Bencic, the 11th seed face Svetlana Kuznetova of Russia in the opening encounter but all eyes will be on the defending champion Sofia Kenin when she faces Kaia Kanepi next.

Matteo Berrettini takes on Tomas Machac, Alex de Minaur plays Pablo Cuevas and Jessica Pegula will be up against Samantha Stosur in the next three matches on that court.

Over at the Cain Arena, Andrey Rublev will be the top draw during the day session, as the seventh seed faces Thiago Monteiro, while Anett Kontaveit takes on Britain’s Heather Watson as well. Fabio Fognini will also be on court, as will Daniil Medvedev in the evening session.

Some of the others in action include Elise Mertens, Jennifer Brady, Donna Vekic, Karen Khachanov, Borna Coric and Cameron Norrie.
