Stefanos Tsitsipas v Jiri Lehecka

A very interesting matchup between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jiri Lehecka will kick off the quarter-final day. The Greek player complicated his match against Sinner and he will face a similar challenge in Lehecka. The Czech player plays similarly to Sinner but that could be an advantage for the Greek.

Their only match played was a close one in the Rotterdam semi-final last year and Tsitsipas won that match in three sets. I expect an actually close match but I’m not sure it will go to five sets. I do think Lehecka can win a set and probably will but I don’t think he can win.

Tsitispas has a fair bit of variety in his game and will probably have the crowd support with many Greeks living in Melbourne. He also is a supreme athlete and that’s something he can lean on if the match goes long.

I think it will be four sets minimum, but Tsitsipas should get it done for yet another semi-final at the Australian Open.

Tip: Tsitsipas to win AND Both players to win a set: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Karen Khachanov v Sebastian Korda

Another solid matchup between two very tall players will happen in Melbourne. Both play really strong tennis with flat groundstrokes and a powerful serve. Both move well around the court as well so it’s going to be an interesting one.

Korda played better so far although it’s been pretty close. One can’t deny the type of players Korda played and beat and they are more impressive than Khachanov’s run. Still, when the Russian is playing this well it takes something special to beat him.

Korda has enough weapons to do well and a lot will depend on how either strikes the ball. Both are very streaky and could produce a shocking effort out of nowhere as well. Korda had more success lately winning the last two matches although Khachanov won the first.

This one promises to be another close one but I think Sebastian Korda will be in, probably in four sets.

Tip: Korda to win AND Both players to win a set: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Jessica Pegula v Victoria Azarenka

Jessica Pegula will take on her very good friend Victoria Azarenka for a place in the semi-final and it’s a match both of them are happy to play.

They played four times so far and it’s 2-2 right now. Pegula won the most recent one played last year in Guadalajara. Pegula has also been the player that looked better this Australian summer but she’s never gone deep in a major and Azarenka won two of them.

Both of them were in Australia many years ago so she knows what it takes to win this one. She’s playing really well and as a counter-puncher, it’s her job to handle players like Pegula really well.

It’s going to take a huge effort and I don’t think he has it. Pegula looks mature enough to finally go deep, she’s been playing for years and improved a lot so I won’t doubt that she got what it takes. It’s risky taking it in two sets, but I think she’ll get it done.

Tip: Pegula to win in straight sets: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
