Giron Is 18-22 at the Tour Level
World no. 64 Marcos Giron ended a four-match losing streak in Chengdu last week after he won his opening round match against Alexander Bublik. But the American could not win back-to-back matches as he lost in the second round to Arthur Rinderknech.
It has been an up-and down season for Giron, who is 18-22 at the tour level.
His best this year include four quarterfinal finishes in Auckland, Dallas, Delray Beach and Munich.
Making his debut at the Astana Open, Giron will be looking to come out all guns blazing against the three-time Grand Slam champion.
