Tallon Griekspoor proved that he belongs on the ATP Tour many times over, but the amount of winning is rather surprising. He’s into yet another quarter-final and looking as formidable as ever indoors, which might just be his best surface.
He has a powerful and precise serve and a good forehand, his preferred weapon. He can hit well from the backhand and just has pure tennis-hitting skills like very few players.
He is very polished and dangerous, especially when he’s feeling confident in his level, and that’s been the case recently. He’s facing a tough opponent in a match that margins will likely determine, so he’ll need to be sharp.
The serve needs to be good; otherwise, he’ll be in big trouble. He’s a bit more consistent than Korda IMO though his peak is much lower, so make of that what you will.

Korda Eyeing Another Semi-final
Sebastian Korda was playing a really strong event last week in Zhuhai, but it ended in a semi-final loss to Karen Khachanov. He’s now looking to book yet another semi-final, and he’s going to need his best tennis against a very solid player who can hurt him.
Indoors is a pretty good spot for Korda, who has a powerful serve and good shots from both the forehand and backhand side. He’s very streaky, though, which is good if it’s his day but not very good if he’s missing a lot.
The match will likely come down to a tiebreak or two, so he’ll need to have his serve working well. Luckily, that’s been the case for these past week or two, so he’s going to have a good chance.
Whether he actually delivers when his serve eventually stops remains a question. He is the minor favourite, even though I do not agree with it entirely.
Griekspoor v Korda Prediction and Tip
Griekspoor just reads like a player who would best Korda in this spot, and while I won’t back him to do that, I certainly expect a close match, making the over a natural choice.
