When & Where will the WTA Austin Open 2024 be Played?
The second edition of the Austin Open will also be played where the first one was held, at the The Westwood Country Club in Texas. This was the first tournament held in Texas last year in 11 years.
This year’s Austin Open will kick-start with its qualifiers on Saturday, February 24 while the first round matches will be held on Monday, February 26. The final will be hosted on the following Sunday, March 3.

What Happened at the Previous WTA Austin?
In the very first edition of the Austin Open held last year, Marta Kostyuk overcame Varvara Gracheva in the final to lift the trophy. She won 6-3, 7-5.
Magda Linette had entered the tournament as the top seed but was toppled in the very first round by Gracheva who later defeated the fifth seeded Sloane Stephens as well. The second seeded Zhang Shuai withdrew from the competition before its start.
Kostyuk’s only seeded opponent came in the semifinal when she carved out a straight-set win over Danielle Collins.
