Cameron Norrie v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head
The two gents have met only once prior to this encounter. That meeting took place in the quarterfinal of the 2018 ATP Los Cabos. Norrie won that match in straight sets.
Norrie Hoping to Build his Form
The 23-year-old Brit started the season on a splendid note, reaching the very first final of his career in Auckland. He lifted his first runner-up trophy after losing to Tennys Sandgren in the final.
However, Norrie succumbed to a drop in form like many of his peers on the tour. He lost early in the Australian Open, Cordoba Open, and Argentina Open. He had a good turnaround in ATP Acapulco when he reached the semifinal.
After that, he participated in the Sunshine Doubles but the World No. 56 lost in the first round in both the tournaments. His last event was in Houston where, once again, he lost his opening game to Janko Tipsarevic.
Mannarino Still Hunting his First Title
The Frenchman, who is currently ranked just two places below Norrie, is still seeking his first singles title on the ATP Tour. Last year, he was the runner-up at the ATP Antalya and Kremlin Cup.
Throughout the course of his career, Mannarino has delivered some interesting results but never really managed to build his form to an exceptional level.
The same has been the case this season as well. Except for his quarterfinal run in Delray Beach, Mannarino lost early in all of the other tournaments he has played in. His last event was the Miami Masters where he lost in the second round to Daniil Medvedev.
Mannarino v Norrie Predictions & Tips
Norrie will start this match as the favourite to win. He has the momentum and has been in a superior form of late, in comparison to his French adversary. However, Mannarino may use his experience to upstage Norrie and deliver a good win right in the first round.
