Borna Coric v Cameron Norrie Head to Head

This will be their third head to head match, with each player winning once in the previous two.

Coric won in a Futures clash played on clay in 2013, when he was just 17 and Norrie 18. The final score was 2-6, 6-3 and 6-1.

Norrie won last year in Shenzhen 6-4, 7-6 while being a 34/10 underdog and he really showed that he is a real top 30 prospect in that match, managing to get into the quarterfinals of that tournament later.

Coric Is Playing Good Tennis In 2019

Despite having a few surprising losses here and there since the season started (0-2 losses against Humbert, Karlovic, Pouille) Coric is still looking pretty good this year and his record of 14/8 proves it.

He managed to get into the Aussie Open round of 16, ATP Dubai semis and quarterfinals of Miami and Monte Carlo Masters and had a few big wins along the way (Kyrgios, Basilashvili, Berdych, Herbert).

His yesterday’s comeback win over Auger Aliassime was especially big for Coric’s confidence as he lost the opening set in a tiebreaker but won the next two 6-3, 6-4 without allowing Auger Aliassime a single break point in the sets he won.

Norrie Playing Better Than Ever

Cam Norrie is currently holding the career-high 45th place of the ATP rankings and even if he loses to Coric today he will be 40th next week thanks to the 45 points he won by getting into this second round.

He has won 14 of 25 matches played this year, managing to get into the ATP Auckland finals where he surprisingly lost to Sandgren and ATP Acapulco semifinals where he lost to Alex Zverev, to no one’s surprise.

The young Brit has a 22-15 record on clay in his career but already 7-6 in this year and he is getting better and better on this slow surface by the day.

Borna Coric v Cameron Norrie Predictions & Tips

Their first two head to head clashes had 24 and 23 games in them and one can expect another a similar match here as both are playing good tennis at the moment and cannot see any of them winning in two easy sets. That is why this match could have over 21.5 games as well.

Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 10/11 (888Sport)
