Elina Svitolina v Daria Kasatkina Head to Head
Svitolina holds a formidable 4-0 lead over her Russian adversary, last defeating her in the 2018 Italian Open. They have met on the hard courts thrice so far, with the Ukrainian winning all of those matches comfortably.

With a win-loss tally of 6-13, the Russian has had a season to forget so far. Not only has she lost her opening matches in a majority of the tournaments, but she has also never made it past the third round in any of them. Case in point, she went by the grass swing without winning even a single match.
Her continued struggles with form are something that isn’t surprising as many players go through it. Kasatkina is clearly a talented player, having won the Kremlin Cup last year and reach the final in a couple of big events. A former top 20 player, she has a bright future ahead of her and can very well form her spirit again.

Svitolina will start this match as the favourite to win but given Kasatkina’s abilities, it may not be an easy win for her. The young Russian has a healthy record against several top 10 players and Svitolina, despite her lead in the head to head tally, may very well join that club soon. Expect this to be an entertaining affair.
