Novak Djokovic v Lucas Pouille Preview & Tips:

Djokovic is such a big favourite going into this encounter that odds of 1/16 are on offer for his win and that’s the best available – they go longer than that. One of the reasons for that – apart from the obvious, Djokovic is number one – is their only previous outing against each other.

The two players faced off in 2019 itself at the Australian Open and in the semi-final. Djokovic was ruthless in that victory, losing just four games in that encounter, which hands him a huge mental edge. Add that to the fact that he has nobody left to really challenge him from the top eight, after Roger Federer’s defeat earlier, he will be looking to gun down anyone on his way to the title.

Which is why if Pouille can show his true gritty self and push Djokovic a little, he could actually be a good pick in the games handicap.

Djokovic v Pouille Prediction: Games Handicap Pouille +5: 1/1 (888Sport) .

Venus Williams v Madison Keys Preview & Tips:

The two Americans go head to head for the fifth time in their career and their record stands at two wins apiece. Williams has had form issues in recent times which reflects in the 17/10 odds on offer for her win over Keys, despite the string of victories she has conjured up in this competition so far.

An easy win over Lauren Davis was followed by two fighting ones against Kiki Bertens and Donna Vekic should put her in a good stead. That said, Keys has victories over Garbine Muguruza and Simona Halep, which is why she starts off as heavy favourite to clinch this.

We think Williams will have enough in her tank to win at least a set here though.

Williams v Keys Prediction: Williams to win a set: 4/7 (888Sport) .

Andy Murray/Feliciano Lopez v Jamie Murray/N Skupski Preview & Tips:

Doubles action and Andy Murray will take to court with Feliciano Lopez for their match against his brother and Skupski. Interestingly, the inexperienced Murray, in doubles that is, Andy, starts off as a favourite with an offer of 8/11 to 11/10 for a Jamie Murray win.

Why is this interesting is because Jamie is ranked 12th in the world and had earlier in the year confirmed it would be tough to partner with Andy during Wimbledon or any other bigger tournaments at the 11th hour. Now, his brother kick-starts against him as a favourite.

Which is also it gives us a good chance to go with Jamie and Skupski, to win this.

Murray/Lopez v Murray/Skupski Prediction: Murray/Skupski to win: 11/10 (888Sport) .

Naomi Osaka v Sofia Kenin Preview & Tips:

Ranked number one in the world and the defending US and Australian Open winner, Naomi Osaka would have been expected to start off as an overwhelming favourite to win this quarter-final tie. I mean look at Djokovic for comparison – not the most fair one but he is the top seed and enters the match at 1/16 odds to clinch his quarter-final.

Osaka, on the other hand, isn’t a favourite entering her quarterfinal against Kenin. She defeated Elina Svitolina, sure, but for a 22nd-ranked player to start off at 17/20 to beat the world number one is something of bizarre showing. While her form hasn’t been top notch – she lost her world number one ranking recently too – we will be backing Osaka to win this one.

Osaka v Kenin Prediction: Osaka to win: 21/20 (888Sport) .
