De Minaur Looking to Cap Excellent Season with Milan Title

Aussie Alex De Minaur, who was runner-up against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Next Gen Finals in Milan last year has had a phenomenal run of form this year. De Minaur has won three ATP titles this year at Sydney, Atlanta, Zhuhai and been a finalist at Basel to Roger Federer. At 20 years of age, the young Aussie has displayed a mix of immense maturity and talent, as he is knocking on the top 20 in the ATP rankings. De Minaur also qualified for the second week of the last major of the year, the US Open, defeating top ten ranked Kei Nishikori.

The Aussie has continued his impressive form this week in Milan, winning all his group stage matches convincingly, living up to his billing as the pre-tournament favorite. De Minaur was in prime form in his semi-final encounter against the number two seed Frances Tiafoe as he won in four sets and qualifying for a second consecutive final here in Milan. Playing with immense confidence and in good touch, De Minaur will definitely be looking to end the year with another title, setting himself well to launch 2020 on a positive note.
