Dusan Lajovic v Roberto Bautista Agut Head to Head

This is the fourth meeting between the two players with Agut leading the head-to-head 3-0. All their meetings have been on the hard courts.

Solid Lajovic Looking To Continue Consistent Form

Second seed Serbian Dusan Lajovic has played an excellent supporting role to Novak Djokovic throughout the inaugural ATP Cup.

After a shaky start where he won a tight match against South African Lloyd Harris, and lost to Frenchman Benoit Paire, Lajovic has gone from strength to strength defeating Nicolas Jarry and then Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarter-finals and more impressively the in-form Karen Khachanov in the semis.

Lajovic has been on the tour for a few years, but his most noteworthy performance was a finals appearance at the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo last year and has since been ranked just outside the top 30 in the world.

With strong groundstrokes, consistency from the back of the court and a good temperament, Lajovic will be looking to capitalize on all in a high intensity clash between Spain and Serbia.

Solid Bautista Agut Yet to Drop a Set

While all the spotlight has been on Nadal, who has already lost a match to Belgium’s David Goffin and a set to Aussie Alex De Minaur,  it has been Agut who has been rock-like and won all his matches convincingly without dropping a set.

The Spaniard second seed has only dropped 19 games in his five matches so far against a varied mix of opponents, including the in-form home favorite Nick Kyrgios.

Agut had a career-best 2019, defeating Novak Djokovic on two occasions, including the final of the Qatar Open in Doha, being a Wimbledon semi-finalist, and breaking into the top ten of the world rankings for the first time.

Agut played a crucial role in ensuring Spain’s Davis Cup victory in the midst of personal tragedy and will hope to continue his form into the ATP Cup finals against Serbia.

Dusan Lajovic v Roberto Bautista Agut Predictions & Tips

An exciting clash between two players who have played percentage tennis, and been solid in their court coverage. Both have been in the shadow of Djokovic and Nadal respectively, but brought very useful results to their respective teams.

Another workman like performance by Agut will see him prevail in two tight sets.

Tip: Agut to win in straight sets: 4/5 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)
