Stefanos Tsitsipas v Jaume Munar Head to Head
These two have faced off once on the ATP circuit with Tsitsipas getting the better of Munar in the opening round of the 2020 French Open. However, the Greek had needed five sets to get past Munar in that encounter.
Other than that, they had faced off in the 2018 ATP Next Gen Finals as well and Tsitsipas was the winner there too.

Featuring in his third Masters 1000 final last week, Tsitsipas finally came through and won his first ever title at that level. More vitally, he got past Andrey Rublev to lift the throne, an opponent so red hot in form over the last few months.
Tsitsipas’ straight-set win was against the run of play with Rublev having coming into the match as a 4/5 favourite to clinch the win.
That victory came on the back of another ATP final he had made earlier this season, losing to Alexander Zverev in Acapulco. He was also a semifinalist at the Australian Open earlier this and all in all, there’s that sense of Tsitsipas inching closer to that maiden Grand Slam title.
A 2018 finalist at the Barcelona Open, Tsitsipas will now look to start things off on a positive note against an opponent ranked 86th in the world but one who could prove to be a tricky one.

Munar in the Form of His Life
While he is ranked outside the top 80 at the moment, Munar’s form this season has seen him win 23 matches to his five losses to go with it. While a lot of those have come at the Challenger circuit, the sense the Spaniard has given is he looks ready to take the next leap.
Munar began the season with a title win at the Antalya Challenger, and then made it to the final of the same tournament the following week. A first round loss at the Cordoba Open might have stalled his run, but then as a qualifier, Munar made it to the quarterfinal of the Buenos Aires.
A final at the Marbella Challenger was followed by his fourth final appearance at the ATP 250 competition in Marbella the following week, where he defeated Fabio Fognini but lost to Pablo Carreno Busta.
And now in the first round here, he overcame Thiago Monteiro in straight sets. Munar’s real test comes now though as he looks to overturn an in-form top-5 player.
Tsitsipas v Munar Prediction and Tip
Tsitsipas starts off at 1/6 to win this and while he should make it through to the next round, Munar won’t be an easy opponent. Backing the Spaniard to win at least a set.
