Fucsovics Knock Out Sinner

Fucsovics in reaching the second round, has now matched his previous best at Wimbledon from two years ago,

And he did it in some style by knocking out the highly rated Italian teenager, Jannik Sinner, the world number 23, in the first round on Wednesday.

The match began with both men dropping their serve twice in a row until it settled down into a service battle. But when Sinner broke Fucsovics again to take the first set, he appeared well in control.

However, midway through the second set, Fucsovics broke Sinner and then broke him again. The Hungarian gave one of them back, but immediately broke the Italian again to level the match.

Fucsovics saved break points on his own serve in the opening game of the third set, but, with Sinner serving to stay in the set, it was Fucsovics who achieved the vital break to move ahead.

The pair swapped service breaks at the start of the fourths et and midway through it, but Fucsovics achieved the critical final break in the eighth game, Sinner saved two match point but, in the end, could not prevent the Hungarian sealing the win.

Vesely Looking to Maintain His Wimbledon Record

Vesely has a decent record at Wimbledon. He reached the fourth round in 2016 and again two years later, and also has two third round appearances to his name

He had a relatively kind draw in the first round against the German Yannick Hanfmann, ranked 90th in the world,

And cruised through the firsts et, dropping just one game, and breaking the German twice.

The second set was more even and went wit serve, until the eleventh game when Vesely create two break points and converted the second one, before going on to serve out for the set.

Not a single break point against serve was created by either man in the third set and it went to  a tie-break. Hanfmann was the first to drop his serve, recovered it straight away, bit then one more dropped serve from the German proved decisive.

Fucsovics v Vesely Prediction and Tip

Although Fucsovics is the higher ranked player, Vesely has by far the better Wimbledon record of the pair and should maintain that by reaching the third round again.
