After having missed almost the entire 2020 season, Radwanska, who is a former top-30 player, has begun to show some sparkle on the ITF circuit. What she would now hope is to convert that into results going her way at the highest level too.
Radwanska has already made it to the finals at two ITF tournaments, winning one of them in Moscow on indoor hard court.
Her results on clay, however, the surface on which this competition is being played, have never been the best. In fact, right throughout her career – and she has been around since 2005 – Radwanska has won just 52 matches on clay across different levels of competitions.
What she would like here is to ensure she can get some rhythm going for the rest of the season, having only recently played in her first main draw match at a WTA tournament for the season.

Kucova Managing the Odd Win
While her wins at the highest level have been few and far between, Kucova will feel she has a better chance at this given she has won a few matches in WTA tournament main draws recently.
Her most recent participation on the WTA circuit came in Hamburg where she lost out in the qualifiers but then came through as a lucky loser to defeat Mona Barthel in the first round.
Around a month ago, Kucova had also played in Bol and made it through to the quarterfinal, falling only to Jasmine Paolini in the end. And earlier in the year during the hard court swing, Kucova had made the second round at both, Monterrey Open and Miami Open as a qualifier.
With that kind of form going her way, one can expect her to get going here and put it across Radwanska.
