Elina Svitolina v Kristina Mladenovic Head to Head
They have met once on the tour and once at the ITF level and Mladenovic has won on both the occasions, with her mot recent win coming in the quarterfinal in Zhengzhou in 2019.

Having reached just two semifinals on the tour this year (in Miami and Stuttgart), the Olympic bronze medallist will be eager for more and she gets a shot at the final four on Thursday when she plays Mladenovic in the last eight.
The top seed Svitolina defeated France’s Fiona Ferro in straight sets on Wednesday to book a place in what will be her eighth quarterfinal of the season (including the Olympics).
With both players struggling on their service games in the first set, there were seven breaks of serve with the World No. 6 getting four of them to seal the set. The second set, too, began with both exchanging breaks, but they got better with their service game as the set progressed. Svitolina got her nose in front with a second break at 4-4 and then served out the match for a 6-4, 6-4 victory in an hour and 38 minutes.
The Ukrainian had on Monday beaten lucky loser Clara Burel. Having lost the first set 5-7, Svitolina took the second 6-1 and was leading the third 2-0 when the Frenchwoman retired.

Mladenovic Into a Third Quarterfinal in 2021
Mladenovic had a relatively easier second round contest as she knocked out World No. 361 Francoise Abanda of Canada on Wednesday.
The seventh seed, who raced to a 5-1 lead with two breaks of serves in the first set, saw the Canadian get a break back, but she held on to close out the set.
The Frenchwoman raced to a 5-1 lead in the second set as well with three breaks, but then failed to convert two match points in the next game as the gutsy Canadian got her second break of the set. Mladenovic broke back immediately to win the contest 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and 14 minutes and move into a third quarterfinal this season.
A quarterfinalist in Lyon and Nottingham, the World No. 57 had begun the tournament with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) win over Zarina Diyas in the opening round.
Svitolina v Mladenovic Prediction and Tip
The top seed did struggle a bit in the first two rounds and would look to address those issues in the quarterfinal. Expect Svitolina to get her first win over Mladenovic on Thursday.
