Aslan Karatsev v Holger Rune Head to Head

28-year-old Aslan Karatsev, having started the season on a solid note, seems to be struggling in the European swing.
His last tournament was in Rotterdam where he fell to the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor in the opening round. Before that, he featured in ATP Pune where he endured a similar fate – this time at the hands of Elias Ymer in straight sets.
The World No. 15, seeded number four for the Open 13, is starting with a bye into the second round.
Earlier in the year, the Russian won the Sydney International to bag his fourth singles title after defeating Andy Murray in the final. Karatsev followed it with a third-round stint in the Australian Open.
He rose to prominence last season when he won the titles in Dubai and Moscow and was a runner-up in the Serbia Open. Karatsev also did well on the doubles circuit, winning the trophy with Andrey Rublev in Qatar and reaching the final in the Indian Wells Masters.

Rune Overcomes Bergs
Holger Rune started his campaign in Marseille with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over the Belgian lucky loser Zizou Bergs. The 18-year-old Danish enjoyed a decent game, winning 75% of the points on the first serve and winning four games in a row.
This win also marks his first ATP main-draw victory of 2022. He had played in four tournaments before arriving in France and was beaten in the first round in all of them.
Currently ranked World No. 90, Rune is among the rising next-generation players on the tour.
Even though he lacks experience, he is not to be underestimated. Last season, he started the year as the World No. 475 and ended it inside the top 105. Over the season, Rune picked up four Challenger trophies, one World Tennis Tour title, and two runner-up silverware from the low-tier events.
Karatsev v Rune Prediction and Tip
Karatsev is far ahead in terms of experience and overall form which makes him a clear favourite. However, his recent tryst with momentum may give Rune an opening to carve the early upset. Expect a good game of tennis.
