Cameron Norrie v Tommy Paul Head to Head

They are 1-1 at the tour level. They also met once at the Challenger tour, with Paul winning that match.

Norrie Gets Korda Revenge

Cameron Norrie knocked out last year’s finalist Sebastian Korda in the quarterfinals of the Delray Beach Open on Friday, thus getting his revenge over the American, who had stopped his run in the semifinals of the tournament last year and also beaten him in the first round of the Australian Open this year to lead 2-0 head-to-head.

The World No. 13 Norrie started off well, dominating the first set with two breaks of serve. But tables turned in the second set after Korda broke the Brit in a six-deuce second game and then broke a second time in the sixth game.

The third set was an extremely close affair. Korda was the first to break to take a 4-5 lead, but he failed to serve out the match as Norrie broke back immediately. The Briton dominated the tiebreak before closing out the two-hour-and-20-minute contest 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4).

The 26-year-old, who won his first two ATP titles and featured in a staggering six finals in 2021, had a poor start to 2022, losing all three matches at the ATP Cup and his opening round in the first slam of the year. He finally found some form in Rotterdam last week, reaching the quarterfinals, before falling to eventual champion Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Seeded No. 1 at Delray Beach, the left-hander began his campaign with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Germany’s Oscar Otte and then extended his winning run on Friday.

Paul Flies Past Another Opponent

A couple of day after demolishing Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin in the second round of the tournament, fourth seed Tommy Paul overpowered fellow American Stefan Kozlov on Friday to reach a first semifinal of the season.

The World No. 41 saved seven of eight break points and converted five of six to beat Kozlov 6-3, 6-1 in an hour and 20 minutes.

The American, who had not gone past the second round at Delray Beach in his past two appearances, had needed just 64 minutes to eliminate qualifier Istomin 6-2, 6-0 in the Round of 16.

Friday’s win improved Paul to 8-3 in 2022. He was a quarterfinalist in both the Adelaide tournaments and reached the Round of 64 at the Australian Open.

Paul also had a great 2021, capping off a 25-23 season by claiming his maiden tour-level title in Stockholm.

Norrie v Paul Prediction and Tip

They met twice last year, with Paul winning in Melbourne-2 and Norrie getting his revenge at the Indian Wells Open. Both the matches needed a deciding set to separate the two. This one is expected to go the distance as well, with the back-in-form Norrie going through to the final.

Tip: Norrie to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
