Belinda Bencic v Daria Saville Head to Head
There have been three previous matches between these two players and while it’s been a while since they played, Saville leads 2-1 on head to head. On hard court surfaces, it’s 1-1 on head to head.

She has participated in six previous editions of Miami Open and never has Bencic made it past the fourth round. This time around though, Bencic has broken that hoodoo and done it with a lot of ease in moving to the quarterfinal here in Miami.
Bencic, who had lost just nine games across her first two wins this tournament, sealed off a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Aliaksandra Sasnovich in her fourth round appearance to march into the last eight stage.
In a match that lasted just an hour and 20 minutes, Bencic lost her serve once in each of the two sets but had enough firepower to dismantle her opponent’s service on five different occasions.
Bencic won 73% of her first serve points which was more than enough given Sasnovich struggled with her own serving.
She will now look to add another feather to her cap as Bencic aims for the semifinal.

Saville Continues to Impress
Such has been Saville’s fall in the rankings she needed to qualify for the Adelaide International at the start of the season to make the main draw.
In what has been her seventh tournament of the year in Miami. not only has Saville managed a wildcard for this competition, she has also managed to enter the quarterfinal stage.
The opponents she has faced so far might not have been the highest-ranked ones but the likes of Greet Minnen, Harmony Tan, Katerina Siniakova and Lucia Bronzetti are all competitive ones in their own right.
And in case of Bronzetti, who was her opponent in the fourth round, Saville managed to overturn a set deficit to complete a battling and gritty win.
