Dayana Yastremska v Sara Errani Head to Head
The pair have played each other once before, also on clay, at the European Open last July, Yastremska winning in straight sets.

Yastremska reached her first WTA finals for two years in Lyon, eventually losing to the Chinese player Shuai Zhang.
She was unable to subsequently translate that form into North America, losing in the first round in Indian Wells, and failing to get out of qualifying in Miami.
She, therefore, would have been glad to get back to winning ways with a comfortable first round victory in Bogota over the Hungarian Panna, Udvardy, a woman currently ranked 18 places higher than her in the world.
The pair swapped breaks midway through the first set, and then Yastremska fell a break behind again, However, she immediately hit back to level, and then took the set after Udvardy dropped her serve again.
An early break of serve in the second set put the Ukrainian in total control of the match, and the Hungarian would win just one more game after that.

Errani Ends Losing Streak
Errani must look in the rear view mirror for her best days which are now far behind her – a former top five singles player and number one ranked in doubles, that seems like a distant memory now.
Her career and reputation has not been helped by the suspension she served for failing a drugs test between 2017 and 2918, although she did experience a minor return to form in 2021 by reaching the semi-finals of the Italian Open in doubles.
However, she had not won a senior WTA match all year, before breaking that sequence in Colombia by defeating the Swiss player, Stefanie Voegele.
Errani swept through the first set without dropping a set, before Voegele awoke from her slumbers to break her at the start of the second set. Errani immediately levelled and went a break up, only to drop her serve again.
However, Voegele then dropped her serve once more, and the Italian was able to serve out next game.
Yastremska v Errani Prediction and Tip
Yastremska won their previous encounter on clay, and she will start the favourite to do so again, playing an opponent who only secured her first win on the senior tour this year on Monday.
