Anna Karolina Schmiedlova v Ekaterina Reyngold Head to Head

Anna Karolina Schmiedlova is looking to reclaim her former glory after spending the last few years in mediocrity and battling form woes.
The Slovakian is 8-10 this season and has lost the opening-round matches in her last four tournaments. In Saint-Malo Challenger, she succumbed to Tamara Korpatsch while in Madrid, she lost to Cori Gauff after clearing the two qualifying matches.
In Istanbul and Bogota, Schmiedlova was handed shocking losses by Lesia Tsurenko and Yuliana Lizarazo respectively. Such has been the case for most of this season for the 27-year-old, whose best run came in WTA Guadalajara and the Marbella Challenger where she made it to the quarterfinal.
Currently ranked World No. 89, Schmiedlova’s last prominent singles final on the tour came in the 2019 WTA Hobart although, she did win the Belgrade Challenger last year.

Reyngold Makes her WTA Debut
21-year-old Ekaterina Reyngold of Russia is looking to take her place on the WTA Tour and rise through the ranks. It is going to be a long journey for her, seeing that she is now ranking #333.
For obvious reasons, she has spent the majority of her time on the ITF circuit where she has seen some success – she was the champion in ITF Navi Mumbai and a runner-up in ITF Pula.
Here in the Morocco Open, she is making her main tour debut and so far, has dismissed Sada Nahimana and Anna Danilina to reach the main round. It is hard to imagine how she will fare against the biggest opponent of her career so far.
Schmiedlova v Reyngold Prediction and Tip
Schmiedlova is the clear favourite in this match but seeing that she has fallen to lower-ranked players, there is a precedent set for Reyngold to follow.
On paper, the Slovak should win this one but those who like to take risky bets, Reyngold certainly makes for a good opportunity.
