Camilla Osorio v Harmony Tan Head to Head
There has only been one previous meeting between these two players and that came on the clay courts of the Bogota Open last year. Osorio had won that match in straight sets to advance to the final.

At two of the biggest tournaments for this season, the Australian Open and Indian Wells Open, Osorio struggled to get going with opening round defeats at both. That said, it wasn’t like this clay court specialist had gone into either as a favourite and those losses looked to be par for the course.
Unfortunately for her, an injury she suffered in Indian Wells prevented Osorio from taking to court for nearly a month before she entered her home tournament in Bogota.
Three easy wins there took her to the semifinal where Osorio fell to the unheralded Laura Pigossi. A win over Lucia Bronzetti in Rome took her to the second round there where she fell to Victoria Azarenka.

Tan Hoping to Emulate 2021 French Open
It’s not been a season to remember for Tan so far, but she will like to do what she had done last year here – i.e. advance to the second round.
Tan began her clay court journey this season at Bogota where she fell to Pigossi, the same opponent who would go on to defeat Osorio in a later match at the same tournament.
A failure to qualify for Madrid Open, and first round losses at Saint-Malo and Karlsruhe would have both come across as a surprise before she finally won a round at Strasbourg.
A 6-1, 6-2 win over Samantha Stosur was enough to help her win her first main draw win on clay for 2022, and while she lost in the very next round that would have come as a relief.
