Bianca Andreescu v Ysaline Bonaventure Head to Head
They have never faced off on the WTA tour before this but at the ITF level, Andreescu had lost her only previous meeting to Bonaventure indoors.

Bonaventure Finally Makes the Main Draw
Before coming into the qualifiers at French Open this year, Bonaventure had qualified for the main draw of each of the other three Grand Slams. The only major she hadn’t played at was here at Roland-Garros.
Five previous attempts had all led to exits from qualifying rounds, but this time around Bonaventure has got the result she so desired.
What this means is Bonaventure would also be playing in the main draw of a clay tournament for the first time since last July.
Up against a player who has shown a gradual improvement in form since her return to competitive tennis, it could get a lot tougher for Bonaventure than was the case in the qualifiers. Still, she has some kind of a momentum from winning those three qualifiers which she might want to use to get off to a quick start.
