Ugo Humbert v Arthur Rinderknech Head to Head

Humbert leads the H2H 1-0 having won in the quarterfinal of the Marseille Open last year. It was a very close affair which was decided in a third set tie-break.

Humbert Returns to his Favourite Surface

Ugo Humbert is having the worst season of his career and the grass swing may just have come in the right time for the Frenchman.

In 2021, Humber was having a very poor season until the month of May. He had only won one clay match in that summer. He then went on to reach the Quarterfinal of Stuttgart and then stunningly won the Halle Open to lift his third career title.

Humbert’s breakthrough in the ATP tour happened when he reached the Round of 16 in Wimbledon, back in 2019. It is safe to say the grass is his favourite surface, and maybe auspicious too.

Currently 5-14 this year, Humbert will hope his resurgence shall begin in Stuttgart as not only is he looking for wins, he is also defending many points that have still kept him in the top 50.

Rinderknech Arrives on the Back of a Challenger Title

Arthur Rinderknech lifted the Poznan Challenger on clay this Sunday, dropping only one set all tournament. He has 48 hours to celebrate, regroup and prepare for a surface switch.

Rinderknech had a terrific start to the season, having played extremely well in the ATP Cup alongside Ugo Humbert. He then reached the final in Adelaide and also reached the semifinal in Doha.

However, a few injuries mid season created trouble for him, and he has been trying to regain that top form. This challenger title will do him a lot of good in that regard.

The Frenchman is 17-11 in 2022. His game style is well suited for the grass court and could be making some surprise runs in the coming weeks.

Humbert v Rinderknech Prediction and Tip

Ugo Humbert is one the better players on grass as he has a very good serve and can get very low in rallies which is perfect for grass. Rinderknech has a huge serve and will win a lot more free points than his compatriot. This should be another tight affair, similar their previous H2H and we should definitely see a three setter.

Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
