Alison Riske v Katie Boulter Head to Head

The pair have played each other once before, at the China Open four years ago, Boulter winning in three sets.

Nottingham Finalist Riske

Riske has just underlined her grass court credentials by reaching the final in Nottingham, before losing Sunday’s final to the Brazilian world number 48, Beatriz Maia Haddad.

It was the second time that she had finished runner-up in that event, having previously done so in 2016.

Three years ago she did win the grass court tournament in Rosmalen, and, a few weeks after that, went on to reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, her best result in a Grand Slam to date.

The American will be hooping for another good run at the All England Club when this year’s tournament begins in a fortnight’s time.

British Wildcard Boulter

Boulter has been given a wildcard to this event, which is almost a home tournament for her because she hails from Leicester.

She spends the majority of her time on the ITF circuit, where, earlier this year, she won her first title in nearly six years in Grenoble, France. Included in her list of losing finals at that level are two on grass.

At Nottingham last week, the 25 year old came through the qualifying competition and then enjoyed a morale boosting first round win over the German, Tatjana Maria, ranked 106th in the world.

However, she was then beaten by the Australian Ajla Tomljanovic, a woman ranked 90 places above her, in straight sets.

Riske v Boulter Prediction and Tip

Despite Boulter’s familiarity with the conditions and home court advantage, Riske is an accomplished grass court player, and this should be a routine day at the office for the American.

Tip: Riske to win: 3/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
