Bautista Agut Has No Worries against Fucsovics

Marton Fucsovics had gone into his first round match against Bautista Agut as a 7/10 favourite, and it was more a reflection of the Spaniard’s poor form in recent times.

That Bautista-Agut came through in the opener with that much ease was down to some solid tennis from his end to go with Fucsovics’ clear struggles with his fitness.

In the end, Bautista-Agut was on court for a mere 46 minutes, coming through with his opponent retiring when the Spaniard was 6-2, 3-0 up. It was all one-way traffic from the word go, with the world number 20 breaking his opponent in the first two games itself to go 5-0 up.

While Fucsovics pulled one back, he lost serve yet again to fall a set behind.

The 2018 semifinalist Bautista-Agut broke once more before his opponent retired from the encounter, leaving the Spaniard with a chance to win back to back matches for the first time Doha in February.

Qualifier Griekspoor Stretched by Molcan

In the end it turned out to be a straight-set win for Griekspoor but not before Alex Molcan made life difficult for him in the first set of their opener.

Griekspoor won 7-6 (10), 6-3 to seal his second round berth, winning in an hour and 38 minutes after saving six set-points in the opening set.

The Dutchman faced just one break-point in the entire match – it was also one of the set-points he in the opening set – but other than that, there was no looking back for him. In turn he converted one of the four he got in the second set, taking an early lead and holding on to it to claim the victory.

Up against an otherwise misfiring Bautista Agut would have given Griekspoor a bit of a chance but given how the Spaniard played in his opener, this might get any easy for him despite signs of some sparkle on grass for him.

Bautista Agut v Griekspoor Prediction and Tip

Despite the obvious difference in the rankings that Bautista-Agut is still as long as 11/20 to win this is down to his fitness concerns and his opponent’s decent run. Still expecting the Spaniard to carve out a win.

Tip: Bautista Agut to win: 11/20 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
