Udvardy returns to Budapest where she found success in 2021. She had reached the quarterfinal in her home tournament.
The Hungarian had defeated Mayar Sherif and Aliaksandra Sasnovich, both as an underdog to reach the quarterfinals where she lost to Anhelina Kalinina.
Udvardy is in good form, she had a major upset over Tamara Zidansek in the first round of Wimbledon and then reached the quarterfinal of WTA Bastad last week.
She has an overall 12-23 record on all surfaces this year. However she is in good touch and is still a very young player who is polishing her game.
