Jule Niemeier v Joanne Zuger Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the German, who is 22 years old, and her Swiss opponent, one year her junior.

It has been quite a year for Niemeier so far. She broke into the world top 100 for the first time – she has since slightly dropped back – and then won her first WTA 125k title in Croatia on clay last month.
Topping all that, though, was her run to the quarter-final in Wimbledon,having never won a match in a Grand Slam event before, beating Anett Kontaveit in the process.
Her progress was eventually halted by compatriot Tatjana Maria, but not before she won the first set.
It is a shame for her that there were no ranking points on offer at Wimbledon this year.
And, last week, she reached another quarter-final, back on clay in Lausanne, losing in the end in straight sets to Anastasia Potapova.

Main Tour Debut for Zuger
Zuger spends the vast majority of her time on the ITF tour, where she has won two singles and two doubles titles, on a mixture of clay and hard courts.
She has never appeared in a WTA event before. This is her debut in a main draw.
However, she came through two rounds of qualifying to get this far.
First she overcame Jessika Malenkov of the Czech Republic, the world number 204, in three sets.
And then she booked her place against Niemeier with a straight sets defeat of the neutrally flagged Anastasia Gasanova, ranked 15 places higher than her.

Although this will be a big occasion for Zuger making her main tour debut, Niemeier is in excellent form right now, and back in front of a German crowd again, will be keen to impress.
