Veteran player, Albert Ramos Vinolas returns to Switzerland where he has an extremely good record. He won the Gstaad title in 2019 and reached the quarterfinal in 2016.

Stricker Makes Unreal Comeback Against Compatriot

Dominic Stricker is a highly talented player from Switzerland who had won the 2020 French Open boys’ singles title. Currently 19 years of age, he is in the race to play in the year end Next Gen tournament.

Stricker got a wildcard in the main draw and faced another Swiss wildcard Marc Andrea Huesler in the first round. Both players are big serves and the match was being played on serve for most parts.

Huesler won the first set through a tie break and broke Stricker’s serve in the second set to serve for the match. Stricker played an unreal return game to seal a memorable comeback and winning it 6-7, 7-6, 6-4.

The 19 year old has a very flashy game and is left handed. He has a very smooth serving style and can consistently serve big. Stricker is also extremely good at the net and it is his usual go to during pressure points.

The Swiss youngster will play his soul out in front of the home support and will hope to make a mark on the tour.
