Jiri Lehecka brings a 5-11 season record to Kitzbuhel.
The World no. 65’s best performance this year came in Rotterdam, where he came through the qualifiers and won three in a row, before falling to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals.
This week, Lehecka defeated Argentina’s Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the opening round in Gstaad, but fell to Casper Ruud in the next. The first round win was just his third opening round win on the tour this year.
The 20-year-old Czech has been doing well at the lower level tournaments though. Last year, Lehecka featured in three Futures and four Challenger finals, winning two titles at both the levels.
Yet to prove himself on clay, he is set to make his Kitzbuhel debut with hopes of improving on the 2-7 tour record on the surface.

After Salzburg Success, Monteiro Eyes More Wins in Austria
Having won the Salzburg Challenger two weeks ago, Thiago Monteiro will be hoping to continue the good work in Austria.
This will be the second time he will be playing in the main draw in Kitzbuhel. He lost the opener in 2017 and failed to qualify in 2018 and 2020.
While he did well in picking up his seventh Challenger title in Salzburg by beating Norbert Gombos in the final, he suffered a tough three-set defeat to Nicolás Jarry in the first round of the Swiss Open.
Monteiro missed out on a match point in the third set tiebreak before going down to the Chilean.
Overall, the 28-year-old lefty is 11-12 this season. He has already featured in three quarterfinals, in Adelaide, Santiago and Belgrade and will be hoping to get off to a winning start in Austria.
