Hubert Hurkacz v Pablo Carreno Busta Head to Head
There have been three previous meetings between these two players and Bautista Agut leads the head to head 2-1.
This includes a win at the Challenger circuit way back in 2015 for the Spaniard which was followed by two meetings in 2021 where both won one apiece. Incidentally, they had faced off in the round of 16 at the Cincinnati Open last season and it was Carreno Busta who came through in two tie-breakers.

It’s been a season to remember for Hurkacz who, in his fourth ATP semifinal of the season, sent Casper Ruud packing from the competition. In doing so, Hurkacz will now vie for his second title of the year after having lifted the Halle Open trophy earlier in 2022.
It hasn’t been easy but Hurkacz’s fighting spirit came to the fore yet again as he came through in what turned out to be his four successive three-setter of the tournament.
In a match lasting two hours and three minutes, Hurkacz overcame a first set deficit to defeat Ruud and make it through.
Blasting 18 aces in the match, Hurkacz improved on his serving as the match progressed and that kept him in a good stead as he won 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.
He had earlier gotten past Nick Kyrgios in what could be termed as one the best results for him in recent times. Can he now take down the the Spaniard to make it his second title of the season?

Carreno Busta Ousts Evans in Semifinal
In a match lasting three hours, Carreno Busta managed to find himself a victory over Daniel Evans to reach his second final of the season.
The Barcelona Open finalist from this year was involved in a keen tussle over the first two sets which could have gone either way before he stamped his authority on the encounter in the final set.
Carreno Busta came through 7-5, 6-7 (7), 6-2 after missing one match-point in the second set tie-breaker.
Earlier, the world number 23 had defeated Matteo Berrettini, Holger Rune, Jannik Sinner and Jack Draper, all in straight sets to reach the semifinals.
Against Hurkacz, Carreno Busta will give himself a good shot after the kind of run he has had so far, even though his form otherwise hasn’t been the best this season.
