Frances Tiafoe v Sebastian Korda Head to Head
Tiafoe leads 3-0, last beating Korda in the Estoril Open earlier this season in three sets.

Frances Tiafoe is off to a good start in Cincinnati as he beat the number 12 seed Matteo Berrettini 7-6(3), 4-6, 7-6(5) in a little under three hours. It was a close match between the two players, but Berrettini was undone by his 38 unforced errors, compared to Tiafoe’s 25.
The 24-year-old also carved 16 aces and won 83% of the first service points.
Now ranking World No. 25, Frances’s tally stands at 21-17, and of late, he has delivered some impressive results on the hard courts. After his fourth-round stint at Wimbledon, he reached the semifinal in Atlanta and the quarterfinal in Washington.
Tiafoe last played in the Canadian Open, losing to Taylor Fritz in round two.
His other highlight of the season came in Estoril where he was the runner-up, having lost to Sebastian Baez.

Korda Moves Past Khachanov
Sebastian Korda had a relatively more straightforward match as he beat Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4. The 22-year-old reached the same stage last year in Cinci too, to mark his best results in the tournament.
Korda’s season so far has been a bit inconsistent; nonetheless, he is now 21-15, and most recently, he was a quarterfinalist in Washington. Before that, however, he lost quite early in Atlanta, Eastbourne, and Halle.
As for his hard-court pedigree, Sebastian (#52) was the runner-up in Delray Beach and the Next Gen Finals in Milan last season. He is definitely a promising player, having made it to the semis in Estoril and mid-rounds in Miami and Monte Carlo this season.
Tiafoe v Korda Prediction and Tip
Tiafoe’s 3-0 lead over Korda is bound to trouble the latter – so much so that it may prove to be a decisive factor. Frances is the clear favourite here and keeping in mind his recent consistency, he should do well to reach round three comfortably.
