Ajla Tomljanovic v Veronika Kudermetova Head to Head
It’s 2-1 to Kudermetova, although Tomljanovic won their last meeting in the WTA Toronto just last week in three sets.

Veronika Kudermetova is off to a brilliant start as she beat Barbora Krejcikova 6-3, 6-3 in the opener to pile on to the Czech’s miseries.
In the next round, she was slated to play Simona Halep, but the Romanian withdrew from the match with a thigh injury, effectively sending her into round three and giving her an extra day of rest.
Now ranking World No. 20, the 25-year-old Russian has had a good few weeks of late and looks confident of delivering positive results in the US swing.
So far, Kudermetova reached the final in Istanbul and Dubai and did far better on the doubles tour, where she was the champion in Dubai and Rome and runner-up in Miami Open, Qatar Open, and Rosmalen Championships.
Moreover, she was a quarterfinalist in Berlin and the French Open and semifinalist in Den Bosch and San Jose – where she beat big guns like Ons Jabeur, Aryna Sabalenka, Madison Keys, Paula Badosa, and Belinda Bencic.

Tomljanovic Survives Badosa
Playing as a qualifier in Cincinnati, World No. 63 Ajla Tomljanovic has fared well. She has marked her best performance in the tournament by making it to round three.
Her exploits included wins over Taylor Townsend (6-4, 3-6, 7-5) and the number three seed Paula Badosa (6-7(3), 6-0, 6-2). It was quite a comeback from Tomljanovic against Badosa as she flipped the game after losing the first set and took the Spaniard by surprise.
This also marks Ajla’s second-best tournament of the season, with the other being Wimbledon, where she was a quarterfinalist.
Her last tournament was the Canadian Open, where she lost to Iga Swiatek in round two. Nonetheless, her season tally has now improved to 27-19.
Kudermetova v Tomljanovic Prediction and Tip
Kudermetova is a fighter and will not go down easy – if that is to be the case. As for Tomljanovic, she has found herself in two demanding matches already – there is no reason why it may not be the case again.
