Daniil Medvedev v Stefan Kozlov Head to Head
While they have played at the highest level, Medvedev did get the better of Kozlov at the 2016 Wimbledon qualifiers.

Last year, Medvedev had captured the US Open with some terrific tennis as he defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the final. En route that encounter in the title-decider, Medvedev had lost just one set in the entire tournament.
This year, however, the Russian hasn’t been at his best.
Sure, he is ranked number one in the world but Medvedev has won just one title and that came at Los Cabos earlier this month. Following a first round bye, the only opponent of note he needed to get past was Cameron Norrie and he did that in the final.
Other than that, Medvedev has struggled to get going.
At the Canadian Open in Montreal, Medvedev lost in the second round to Nick Kyrgios. He then reached the semifinal in Cincinnati before going down to Stefanos Tsitsipas who was 5/2 to win that encounter.
Even earlier in the season, despite there being a final’s appearance at Australian Open, Medvedev did not do too well at the Sunshine Masters – losing in the third round in Indian Wells and reaching just the quarterfinal at Miami.

Kozlov on a Seven-Match Losing Streak
The difference in the two players here, Medvedev and Kozlov isn’t just restricted to their rankings. Kozlov’s form has been totally rundown, with the American having now lost seven matches in a row.
And these results include losses on the Challenger circuit and in qualifiers for Kozlov.
Having gotten knocked out in the qualifiers of the Atlanta Open, Kozlov has proceeded to lose in the first rounds at both, the Washington Open and Chicago Challenger. And more recently in Cincinnati, Kozlov went down in the qualifiers again.
Against Medvedev, the 110th-ranked player will find it very difficult to get going, which is why their winning odds are thus offered – 1/100 for a Medvedev win!

This should be a very straightforward, straight-set win for Medvedev but at 18/1 odds, Kozlov seems a tad undercooked. We could look at a few more games than 27.5 in the match.
