Emil Ruusuvuori v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head

All in all, Ruusuvuori, who has had a bye in the first round here, will be pleased with the progress he has made in hard court competitions and this could be his chance to kick on even further.

Mannarino Needs Three Tie-Breakers
It took Mannarino three hours and 33 minutes but in the end, the Frenchman managed to squeeze past Chris O’Connell to make it to the second round.
Mannarino won 7-6 (4), 6-7 (3), 7-6 (3) in a match that had both players break the other just twice apiece.
Surviving 21 aces from O’Connell, Mannarino had a chance to serve it out at 5-4 in the final set and even had a couple of match-points but failed to do so. O’Connell then had four match-points of his own on Mannarino’s serve but failed to convert any before the Frenchman clinched the third set tie-breaker easily.
With Ruusuvuori being in the kind of rhythm that he is in, Mannarino will hope he can shrug off the exhaustion from this encounter, especially against a player who would be fresh as a daisy in comparison given his first round bye.
