Tereza Martincova v Diane Parry Head to Head

World No. 69 Terezza Martincova needed an hour and 38 minutes to see off Oceane Dodin in the opening round in Granby on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Czech was the first to break in the first set, to build a 4-2 lead and then she saved eight break points in a 12-deuce seventh game to keep her advantage intact. Martincova broke again in the next game to take the set.
She was broken in the very first game of the second set and found herself 3-5 down a few games later. But Dodin couldn’t serve out the set and Martincova won the last four games in a row for a 6-2, 7-5 victory.
On Wednesday, Martincova will be looking to win consecutive matches for just the third time this season, following her runs in Qatar and Nottingham, where she lost in the Round of 16 and the semifinals respectively.
A win would also put her in a third quarterfinal of the season.

Parry Overcomes Qualifier Sun
World No. 81 Diane Parry toughed it out in the first set, before easing past qualifier Lulu Sun in the opening round of the tournament on Tuesday.
Twice Parry went up a break in the first set, but Sun stayed in touch by breaking back immediately on both the occasions. She however, broke again for a third tie and then held serve to take the first set.
In the second, the 19-year-old French made a solid start, building a 4-0 lead. Sun puled a break back, but Parry won the last two games to win 6-4, 6-2.
Parry improved to 17-19 this season and 5-8 on hard courts, across levels. At the tour-level, she will be looking to win consecutive matches for the fourth time this season. She had done that in two big events at Roland Garros and Wimbledon and also in Palermo.
A win on Wednesday, will put her in a second quarterfinal of the season, following her run to the last eight in Palermo. She was also a semifinalist at WTA 125k event in Gaiba.
Martincova v Parry Prediction and Tip
Ranked No. 81, Parry has been in a touch better form than Martincova and she will give the eighth seed a run for her money. Expect Martincova to eventually advance in three.
