Kenin was on a nine-match losing streak when she walked out to the court to take on Dalayna Hewitt in her opening encounter here.

Pera Stuns Krejcikova
Not that Barbora Krejcikova has been in any kind of great form in recent times but Pera would have been deeply satisfied to get past the line against the former Grand Slam winner in her second round encounter.
Pera, who had had an easy opener against Eri Hozumi, dropped just five games in her second round win over Krejickova.
In a match last nearly an hour and a half, Pera registered a 6-4, 6-1 victory with four breaks of serves against her Czech opponent. In turn, Pera did not face a single break-point winning 71% of her first serve points and a whopping 78% of the second.
She had entered this competition on the back of a finals appearance at the WTA 125 event in Concord and with back to back wins here, should kick-start this encounter against Kenin as a favourite.
