Aryna Sabalenka v Danielle Collins Head to Head
There have been three previous meetings between these two players, all of which have come on hard court surfaces and Sabalenka has won each of them.
Two of these matches have come at the US Open itself, with the duo having faced off in 2018, in the opener and then again last year in the third round.

The number one Belarusian player needed just over an hour to take control of her third round match, winning it 6-0, 6-2.
What was interesting about the encounter is Sabalenka did not allow Burel to hold on to her serve even once, breaking her opponent a whopping eight times in the encounter. The two games Burel did win were on Sabalenka’s serve in the first five games of the second set.
This followed a stunning comeback from Sabalenka in her second round victory over Kaia Kanepi where she was a set and 5-1 down and then staved off two match-points in the ensuing tie-breaker before completing her shock win.

Collins Shrugs off Form Crisis to Make it US Open Best
She has been a finalist at a Grand Slam, having reached there at the Australian Open earlier this year but before the start of this edition of her home Grand Slam, Collins had gone through a form crisis.
Having missed a few months of tennis, Collins was 3-5 coming into this US Open, having not featured in any of the US Open Series tournaments. Which is why despite being the higher-ranked player, she was the underdog going into her opener against Naomi Osaka.
A straight-set win over Osaka followed soon after as she then defeated Cristina Bucsa in the second.
And coming up against the giant-killer Alize Cornet, Collins did have her problems and took nearly two hours but found her way to get past her, winning 6-4, 7-6 (9) to reach the fourth round.
