Kristina Mladenovic v Magda Linette Head to Head
It’s 1-1 between the two players; they last met in the 2019 Cincinnati Open qualifiers, where Linette won in straight sets.

World No. 135 Kristina Mladenovic was off to a wobbly start in the 2022 WTA Korea Open as she beat the home favourite Sohyun Park 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
The 29-year-old has been out of form in the singles department for most of this season as she looks to deliver a turnaround. Her singles tally is now 12-22 while in the doubles, she is out of the top 20.
Mladenovic has competed in the WTA, ITF, and Challenger events but hasn’t seen much success. The exception to this is ITF Caserta in June, where she won the title. Since then, she has lost in the early stages.
Her last WTA event was the US Open, where she was stunned by Sara Bejlek in the opening qualifying round in three sets. Kristina played in an ITF event in France, where she fell to Mona Barthel in round two.
She won the French Open, Ladies Open Lausanne, and Paris Challenger on the doubles circuit.

Linette Moves Past Hartono
By contrast, Magda Linette had a good start in Seoul as she beat Arianne Hartono 6-2, 7-5, to keep her steady run going.
The 30-year-old Pole is on track to deliver her career-best season; she is now 33-24 and is armed with a fair bit of momentum.
She competed in the Chennai Open last week and was the runner-up after losing the final to Linda Fruhvirtova. Nonetheless, it was her first such feat in over two years.
Now ranked #51, Linette also reached the late stages in Cleveland, Prague, Strasbourg, Saint-Malo, and Charleston. She also won a couple of doubles titles in Eastbourne and Charleston and was the runner-up in ITF Kozerki Open.

If Mladenovic had a slightly better year, backing her may have been a good bet. However, it is not the case and Magda is definitely in a much better form. Expect the Pole to win this one.
