Halys Has Enjoyed a Successful Challenger Season

Halys has enjoyed a fine year on the Challenger tour, where he has appeared in six finals, winning two of them.

Already this month he has finished runner-up in an event in France, and reached the semi-finals of another in Germany.

Success on the main tour has proved more elusive, and he has not won a match at that level since reaching the second round on the grass of Newport Beach back in July.

Earlier to that he also reached the second round of Wimbledon.

Florence Semi-Finalist Ymer

Ymer’s quest to finish the year inside the top 100 will have been considerably boosted by his efforts in Florence last week.

There he came through the qualifying competition, and went all the way to the semi-finals, beating in the process Aslan Karatsev and Pablo Carreno-Busta, before his run was ended by the American JJ Wolf.

That was his second semi-final in the space of two months, having reached the same stage in Washington, before losing to Nick Kyrgios.

He will be hoping to give the home crowd something to cheer about.

Halys v Ymer Prediction and Tip

Although the French player is the higher ranked, Ymer has every incentive to do well in front of his home crowd and, provided there is no adverse reaction to his efforts in Italy, will be confident of progressing.

Tip: Ymer to win: 5/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
