Laslo Djere v Borna Gojo Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 27 year old Serb, and the Croat, who is three years younger.

Djere’s Disappointing Season
This has been a largely disappointing season for Djere who seems destined to end it ranked lower than he has been since 2018.
Currently he has won and lost an equal number of matches this year, so needs a few more victories to make sure that he stays on the right side of that equation.
Not that his recent form has been convincing. Since reaching the second round in Winston Salem, the main success he has had have been playing in the Davis Cup for Serbia.
He has not won a main draw match in two months, a run that continued in Astana, where he came through qualifying, but was then beaten in the first round by Andrey Rublev.

Gojo’s First Main Draw Appearance Since Paris
It took Gojo until last month for him to reach a career high ranking, despite turning pro in 2020.
And he has yet to enjoy success of any kind on any of the tours, although he did finish runner-up in a Challenger event in India in February.
He did, though, qualify for the French Open, and went on to reach the second round there before losing to another Serb, Filip Krajinovic.
This will mark his first appearance in a main draw since Paris, and, he had a slice of luck in his first qualifying match, when his Czech opponent was forced to retire with an injury.
There was nothing fortunate, though, about his subsequent straight sets defeat of Stefano Napolitano of Italy.

Despite Djere’s disappointing run, he will still back himself to beat an opponent making his first main draw appearance since Paris.
