Felix Auger-Aliassime v Dan Evans Head to Head

They played twice and it’s 1-1.

Auger Keeps on Winning

Felix Auger-Aliassime had a comfortable week in Florence winning the trophy there and he kept on winning in Antwerp. The Canadian started off well in his first match in Belgium taking down Manuel Guinard in two sets and now he faces Dan Evans.

In theory, this is a very tricky matchup as Auger can play himself out of matches with his error sprees. He’s become much better with them lately so I do think he’ll know how to handle this match even against a defensive powerhouse like Evans.

They played earlier this year in Australia and Auger won comfortably.

The conditions are a bit different, but if his serve is working and if the groundstrokes are good enough I see no reason why he would not extend his winning streak by another match.

Two Strong Victories for Evans

Dan Evans played two matches so far in Antwerp and he won both matches comfortably. No sets dropped with some amazing play setting up this quarter-final against a player who is better than him but also a player whom he defeated once in the past.

Evans plays a very interesting style with all sorts of his tricks and he can play well indoors. He has a variety of volleys and slices that can do a lot of damage in combination with his serve. He lacks power so he can be overpowered by better hitters like Auger.

It’s tricky to predict how much he can really do because the match will largely be on Auger’s racquet. If the Canadian brings his best tennis then there is very little Evans can do.

Holding his serve will be extremely important because he won’t get many chances to break.

Auger-Aliassime v Evans Prediction and Tip

While this is very interesting on paper I don’t think it will be on the court. I see this being a fairly simple two-set affair.

Tip: Auger-Aliassime to win in straight sets: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
