World no. 32 Grigor Dimitrov dominated the opening round contest to beat Thiago Monteiro in straight sets on Tuesday.

The Bulgarian won 85% points on the back of his first serve and did not face a single break point in the match, while he broke the Brazilian once in each set to cruise into the second round with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
