Lorenzo Musetti v Jack Draper

The match of the day will be played between Lorenzo Musetti and Jack Draper. Both of them have one win and one loss making this a very important match for both. A win gives them a chance to stay in the event while a loss guarantees elimination.

It’s an interesting situation as they were considered the favourites for this event so having this elimination match between them shows how unpredictable round-robin events can be. It will be their first clash as they have never played before.

Both are supremely talented and even though Draper is a better fit indoors, Musetti looked like the better player at this event. The Brit has been too up and down in his play with Musetti largely consistent albeit vulnerable to hard hitters like Dominic Stricker. Back the native Italian to win.

Tip: Musetti to win: 5/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Jiri Lehecka v Matteo Arnaldi

Jiri Lehecka has a chance to book his spot in the next round by beating tricky Italian Matteo Arnaldi. The native player is already eliminated but he will try to get the win because he won’t like leaving Milan winless. Lehecka is a player he can certainly beat and he lost both matches in five sets.

If he was a bit more luckier, he could have won both of them but that’s how tennis is sometimes. Lehecka had a good start but then faced Nakashima who was simply too solid overall. They never faced each other so it will be interesting to see who does better.

The return of Lehecka gives him a solid chance because Arnaldi depends on his serve quite a bit. In both of his losses, his serve faltered towards the end causing him to drop his level. If Lehecka can apply early pressure on him than it should be enough.

Tip: Lehecka to win in straight sets: 5/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Brandon Nakashima v Francesco Passaro

Brandon Nakashima had a tricky round-one match but bounced back in superb fashion to set himself up here. The match is simple, if he wins he moves on. The motivation should not lack for Nakashima who has been the player who played the most on the ATP tour in this group.

A win over Passaro should give him the 3-0 score and I think he should be able to get it done. He looked much more comfortable in his round two match against Lehecka and some of that confidence will spill over here. Overall I think Passaro needs a bit more for this matchup.

The Italian has a good serve and likes to attack but there is very little variety if that fails. He’s also prone to overhitting often so that’s also something Nakashima can take advantage of. Back the American to get it done in straight sets.
