Casper Ruud v Rafael Nadal

Casper Ruud takes on Rafael Nadal with the intention of beating him and going undefeated in the group stage. There is a huge motivation for Ruud to win this match and judging by the way they played so far, there is a good chance he’ll be able to get this.

Nadal doesn’t need the win but expect him to fight for it with everything. He confirmed he will try to win because going winless in the group stage isn’t something he wants on his resume. Their only clash came this year on clay at Roland Garros with Nadal winning easily.

Ruud has looked far better so far, that’s out of the question. It remains to be seen whether Nadal can find some hole in his game and I don’t think he will. I do think he might win a set and force a 3-set match but Ruud will prevail in the end.

Tip: Ruud to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Felix Auger-Aliassime v Taylor Fritz

The stakes for this match are huge for both players as the winner moves on to the semi-final of the event with the loser going him. Makes it pretty simple for both to come up with a plan for this match and I do think they will be similar.

The key for both will be the serve as neither can win if they serve poorly. Fritz is far more aggressive generally but Auger tends to pick his spots better. It’s going to be a close one with very tight similar, pretty much similar to their only clash which Fritz won at the ATP Cup earlier this year.

Both improve since then so this will be a totally different match in terms of the level of tennis played. It’s going to be pretty hard to argue against Felix here so I’m not going to do it. He’s looked better in the past few weeks and back him to get it done here.

Tip: Auger-Aliassime to win: 13/20 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Rajeev Ram/Joe Salisbury v Marcelo Arevalo/Jean-Julien Rojer

Another interesting matchup is this one where the American-British combination goes for 3-0 in the group stage against the other pairing that needs to win to get through. It’s interesting because this will be the first time they play this year.

Ram and Salisbury are the better pairing, there is no question about that and are widely expected to win this match but I do think it will be closer than many expect. The higher-seeded pairing has not played that much indoors and Arevalo and Rojer are fighting for a semi-final spot.

If I had to choose I’d say Salisbury and Ram do get the win in the end but I think 3 sets in the match is a fairly solid bet with some value. It’s a bit risky but I do think Arevalo and Rojer will get at least one set if not win the entire set. Not sure about the latter though.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
