Nick Kyrgios v Cameron Norrie

Nick Kyrgios will play a tennis match in his native Australia on day one of the United Cup officially getting his new season underway. Last year was an amazing one but his exhibitions performances in the previous weeks left a lot to be desired.

He hasn’t looked very sharp and lost quite a few matches but his motivation might have not been the best. Cameron Norrie hasn’t looked his best either but he looked better than Kyrgios. They actually played already and Norrie proved better in that one.

Things might be different in this one as Kyrgios will be playing at home and he is widely favoured to win this one. Not only that but he’ll also play under the Australian banner so that might add some motivation to it as well. A 3-setter should be a good bet.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 5/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Stefanos Tsitsipas v Grigor Dimitrov

A very interesting matchup will be played when Bulgaria takes on Greece. It’s Dimitrov against Tsitsipas in a matchup that saw Tsitsipas dominate in the past. He leads 5-1 but most of those wins came on clay. On hard courts, it’s 1-1 but both were indoors.

Outdoors should generally favour more Tsitsipas who has had a lot of success in Australia. He’ll like to keep that going especially since he plays for Greece, something that was always an added motivation for him. He’s the superior player and played a little bit better leading up to this match.

I expect him to take this seriously enough and defeat Dimitrov without much trouble. The Bulgarian could surprise here and play a strong match but I just don’t see Tsitsipas losing it. Certainly not in this competitive format with prize money and points on stake.

Tip: Tsitsipas to win in straight sets: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Madison Keys v Marie Bouzkova

Madison Keys had a superb start in Australia last year but she failed to follow that up with strong performances throughout the year. In reality, Keys was outplayed by Bouzkova who improved dramatically since the start of the season till now.

It’s an interesting matchup battle between Keys who loves to attack and Bouzkova who mostly defends and gets the ball back. In this constellation, it will be Keys who will dictate play. She’ll decide the winner by how well she plays. A good Keys should win this comfortably but if she doesn’t play well I expect Bouzkova to pull it out.

Predicting this one so early in the season is going to be very hard but I expect a competitive match simply because neither should be in great form to start the year. In that situation the over seems like a good idea so we recommend that.

Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
