Daniil Medvedev v Karen Khachanov

Good friends that spent New Year’s Eve together a few days ago will face off in the Adelaide International quarter-final. It’s been a while since they played as the last match happened in 2019. Medvedev won that match and leads the H2H 2-1.

They both played really well to start the year and Medvedev referenced that ahead of this match expecting a tough matchup. I think he’ll get it because Khachanvo is playing really well and serving well which is crucial for him. Expect Medvedev to know how to approach this matchup and have great success at it.

The problem for Khachanov is that his tennis is not good enough to break down Medvedev. The Russian can just stand behind and return many balls expecting Khachanov to make a mistake and he will. That will be enough for him to win this in straight sets. Something like 6-4 6-4.

Tip: Medvedev to win in straight sets: 3/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Novak Djokovic v Denis Shapovalov

Denis Shapovalov has made a habit of showing up big for big matches in the past and fans certainly hope he does the same for this one. He played well to start the year although he still showed weaknesses in his game. Djokovic knows them and knows how to exploit them as well.

They played 8 times so far and Djokovic leads 7-1. Some of them were close but most of them were not. There are glaring weaknesses in the game of Shapovalov but he needs to serve well. Any time he’s not, he is opening himself up to problems and that’s only going to be amplified against Djokovic.

Quentin Halys showed that that’s a way you can keep things close with Djokovic and Shapovalov will certainly attempt that. I don’t think he’ll be as effective as Halys was because the French player showed a crazy good level. Shapovalos hasn’t been playing at that level so expect Djokovic to win comfortably.

Tip: Under 20.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Aryna Sabalenka v Marketa Vondrousova

Marketa Vondrousova has returned to tennis and she has looked really sharp. The former Roland Garros finalist is a great tennis player but missed a lot of time with injury. Now she’ll have a chance to test herself against Sabalenka who started the year well.

They played five times so far and Sabalenka leads 3-2 with the latest one coming last year in Australia. It was a 3-set match that Sabalenka won. This might go very similar because they are both playing well and neither is that immune to lapses in focus to make this a straight-sets win for either.

I do think that Sabalenka is probably closer to winning this but I also can’t see her not dropping a least a set. So any combination of three sets in the match, or the over on games or Vondrousova winning a set should be a good bet for this match.

Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
