Alison van Uytvanck v Tamara Korpatsch Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two, both of which came in 2022 and in first round of tournaments. It was van Uytvanck who won both those matches.

It was a decent start to the season for van Uytvanck but over the last couple of matches, she has failed to win.
In the United Cup played in the first week of the year, van Uytvanck had a couple of straightforward matches against Isabella Shinikova and Despina Papamichail. She was pushed into three sets in both.
Van Uytvanck then shocked Magda Linette in her opening round win at the Hobart International to make it three wins in a row but hasn’t won since.
In the second round in Hobart, she was bundled out by Xinyu Wang before Petra Kvitova got the better of her in the opening round at Australian Open.
She will still start off a favourite here but her form has been a bit dodgy so far.

Korpatsch Yet to Win a Match in 2023
It’s not been one of Korpatsch’s best starts to the season as she has lurched from one defeat to another this year.
Korpatsch featured in the qualifiers at both, the Adelaide International and WTA Hobart, and lost both her matches there. At the former, she was taken down by Storm Hunter before Kristina Kucova got the better of her at the latter.
And then, starting out directly in the first round of the Australian Open, Korpatsch was routed 6-3, 6-2 by Emma Raducanu as well.
This follows the kind of season that Korpatsch had in 2022 in which she rose from being 182nd in the world to end the year ranked 74th – her career-best ranking thanks to two ITF and one WTA 125 title.
Korpatsch’s best results, however, come on clay and that could tip this encounter in her opponent’s favour.
